Monday Work

Some process work from today. I worked and fixed the background because I wasn’t happy with it, I tried to make it more trippy and I also made it longer (it is 2 minutes and plays on loop in Unity). I’ve been using my Mario world as a guide to test and try things out. James runs, jumps, idles, drinks and this kaleidoscope video plays in the background as well. It’s nice to see it all coming together but I think the background still needs work, Im going to try make it busier and more chaotic – the problem is then I need to change my enemy character.

I fixed James’ jump cycle – I made the build up quicker and its looking better. I also tweaked both his idle states and resized him becasue he was too small in the mario world. He’s about 3 times bigger than how mario was in my exercise which is noce casue now you can see more detail in him.

Ive been working on the assets and I’m still wanting to stick with the broken code and glitch platforms which is why they plain black with the yellow outer glow. Some of them I’ve added code in so itds like your looking through the word (the broken matrix). The problem is it is beginning to get a bit busy if they all have code in them.

Theres still so much I need to do though because the world is so plain at the moment. I’m struggling to think what to add. I’m wanting to layer the platforms though and create a lighter one and make it parallax in front of the platforms to give it a 3d effect.
