Premise:

Life as we know it is on a downward spiral and as lockdown regulations strengthen the harsh reality of the Corona Virus – individuals begin to suffer. In what Initially seems like a peaceful retreat at home; a time of family, togetherness; the coin quickly flips unto chaos. Restrictions keep getting worse and the end to this lockdown period seems like a feigned notion to give society hope. Tom’s mental state deteriorates as he has to live in this desolate reality; questioning if the grass is greener on the other side of it all.

Inspiration:

I really like the colour grading, tones and filters used in Black Mirror and a lot of their camera cuts / angels.
I also really like the colour grading and aethetic of Euphoria . The way they show Rue (the main character) and how she goes through these stuggles and feels islotated herself. They use very dark but rich tones – bright purples, blues, reds etc. (I’ve attached some images below).
