I want my film to be a cinematic montage, showing days and time passing by. I want to show how my main character has spent the lockdown and how his mental state deteriorates and he begins to get lonelier & lonelier, and sadder & sadder as time passes. There will be a some of dialog. A lot of speaking will be coming from the president and then from the main characters thoughts ( a monolog). I need to sort out and refine the ending and how to accurately portray the main character becoming more lonely, depressed and desolate. Ultimately I want the short film to finish on a cliff hanger and make the viewer interoperate the ending for themselves – debating if the main character goes on living (or should I say surviving) or if they choose to end it. I am going to include lots of news feed cuts (of my own) showing how many days its been and how bad the scenario is getting.
