He is my storyboard for Event 5. I’ve refined my idea lot more and have a much clearer direction to head in. The story board seams like a lot but its actually a lot of the same scenes repeated (obviously when I film Im not going to use the same video, I’ll shoot it again with slight changes). I want the viewer to watch how the main character spends his lockdown and how he is stuck in this constant cycle of waking up, eating, chilling, watching tv and starting it all over again the next morning. Whilst this is going on, I want a slight ticking noise to be constantly playing and ever so slightly speeding up over time. These scenes repeat until the main character begins to break. I want black dye/paint to be symbolic for the darkness coming into his life and become more and more prominent as the film develops. The dye begins to stain everything he touches; darkness is consuming his life as it becomes desolate; showing especially in his teary eyes. Closer to the end you see him wake up, sit outside then wake up again until the scene changes to him sitting in a corner. The camera pans and then zooms in on his face; his eyes are dark, he closes them and reopens them as a black tear streams down his face. The scene then fades to black, revealing the title of my Desolation Film diary. (That which I am yet to decide).
Sound effects
I found a 10 hour video of a ticking noise that is free to download 🙂
Obviously I only need 2 – 3 minutes. Im also trying to work out if I will be able to make the tick speed up slightly or if its not necessary.
Im not sure on the music I want and will post when I find something good but I want a lot of rustling noises and environmental noises (like the toaster popping up, the crunch of the toast, the rustling of the pants, the foot steps etc).
