Shoot (Day 1)

Whoop whoop! I’ve recorded my scene 1. It’s taken 3 hours to film this 35 second piece . I’m super happy with how it’s looking. I started off recording normally, with no makeup or contact lenses and after numerous takes I finally managed to get my voice in sync woth my audio recording from before. It took me so much longer to learn the lines off by heart and get the pauses correct – I kept messing up one section and then would have to start again 😦

But once I had done a full shoot without makeup, I got my mom to put makeup on me (she did an amazing job, it’s exactly how I wanted it) and I put my contacts in and starting filming. This one I go right after 2 takes cause I knew the lines well. I think I look super weird and pretty funny (I look like a sloth) but this is the look I was going for. Later in the film atom (Ryan) ends up looking similar as well so it’s not all for nothing.

The first photo shows my outfit 🙂 I’m just wearing a shirt, tie and blazer and then my sweatpants. I’m sitting down the whole scene so you dont see my pants lol.

This is what my desk looked like from my point of view. I had 2 main lights and then I opened the window as well (initially the blinds and everything were closed) . You couldn’t see my laptop in the scene – I used it to play the voice over to make sure I was saying everything at the right time. you can also see the tripod I had set up woth my phone, it all worked really well.
