Scene 4, 5, 6 & 7

I’ve made a lot of progress since I last blogged, I finished up the first few scenes and then moved on to the second half. I had some trouble with the prototyping but I resolved tat problem with the screen recording app ‘Kap’ because I could set the frame rate to 30fps – compared to the QuickTime one of 60 – which resulted in glitches.

When the prototyping was working fine, I positioned and moved the hand around so that it looked like it was pushing the buttons. I then worked on the city scene where the the car drives through and the screen gets covered by smoke. I managed to do this using the wiggle path tool but some of the edges aretooc spiky and a bit too sharp so Im trying to work out how to change it and make it smoother.

After the smoke scene we move onto the next scene where we are in the FEED collection zone. A person walks in, has the app open and scans their barcode to collect their parcel. I created the scanner by using the Gaussian blur and an overlay. The QR code screen took some time to get right because I had to create it from Scratch – Its a screen I added in now to make the app easier to use and more convenient for the user. It allows them to not wait in line, to get there when their stuff is ready.

There’s a screen recording of some of my process from this morning – at the bottom, underneath the photos.
