This website uses the same concept that I am looking to do. Foodeez is a grocery store which takes food which is still good for human consumption but pasted its ‘sell by day’ (not expiry date) and repackages then resells it.

My app is a similar concept to this where the Retailers sell their unwanted stock at a discounted price to either locals (via drop off points) or soup kitchens instead of dumping it like most food retailers do.
