I kinda worked on a whole variety of little things and was basically experimenting. I started off by trying to make my character double jump but this ended up making him just bounce super high – every platform was like a trampoline but it gave me the idea to make some sections really bouncy because it became tricky to control but fun at the same time. So im gonna try add this into my game.
I then worked on the camera and trying to get the zooming and stuff to work and just fiddled around to see what it could do but I didnt end up doing much. Im gonna watch some tutorials tomorrow to see how to add some of my camera ideas into my game.
I then watched a tutorial on sorting layers and learnt about how holding the ‘v’ button allows snapping which turned out to be very useful and helpful. THis resulted in my begining to build a bigger world and make my enemy character chase you fast and further.
And the majority of my screen recording will probably be me building all my final GUI and HUD features. It was pretty hard and slower than I thought and need to do more of it tomorrow, I’m beginning to like certain elements of it but im not entirely happy with any of it yet as a final.
Yoh and my laptop has beeeen struggling with the file sizes and everything. I’m seriously considering flying back to stellies so I can use the Big Macs again.
